RiskMiser currently supports three asset classes: Stocks (long and short trades), Options (long calls/puts and defined-risk spreads), and Forex (all major currency pairs with standard, mini, and micro lot sizing).

Enter your account size, risk percentage, entry price, and stop loss. RiskMiser calculates how many shares to buy so that if the stock hits your stop loss, you lose exactly the dollar amount you set as your risk. It supports both long (buy) and short (sell) trades.

Most professional traders risk between 0.5% and 2% of their account per trade. Beginners are often advised to start at 1% or less. RiskMiser will warn you if you set your risk above 3%. The right percentage depends on your personal risk tolerance and trading strategy — consult a financial advisor if unsure.

RiskMiser has two forex modes. Risk-First mode calculates your lot size based on your account size, risk %, stop loss in pips, and pip value. Lot-First mode lets you pick your lots using simple +/- buttons and shows you the resulting dollar risk. Results are broken down into standard, mini, and micro lots.

RiskMiser calculates theoretical position sizes and does not account for broker commissions, slippage, margin requirements, or minimum lot sizes. Always verify calculated sizes against your broker's specific requirements before placing a trade.

No account required. RiskMiser works without registration, login, or any personal information. Just open the app and start calculating.

You can clear your calculation history by tapping the 📋 history button and selecting Clear All. To clear all app data including presets and preferences, clear your browser's local storage in your browser settings, or uninstall and reinstall the mobile app.

Not currently. Presets are stored locally on each device. Cross-device sync is planned for a future version of RiskMiser that will include optional account creation.

Tap + New Preset in the presets bar at the top of the app. Give it a name (e.g. "Main Account"), enter your account size and default risk %, and tap Save. Your preset will appear as a chip — tap it anytime to instantly load those values.

After running a calculation, three buttons appear at the bottom of the result card. 📸 Highlight dims the screen to show just the result for screenshotting. 📋 Copy copies a formatted text summary to your clipboard. ↗ Share opens your device's native share sheet to send via message, email, or any app.

Tap the ? button in the top right of the header to replay the onboarding guide at any time.

RiskMiser includes a lite calculation history — tap the 📋 button in the header to see your last 50 calculations. A full trading journal with outcomes, emotions, and performance analytics is coming soon as a separate app called JournalMiser from MiserTrade.

The web version works on any device with a modern browser — desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. The mobile app is available for iOS (iPhone) and Android. RiskMiser supports both light and dark mode.

Presets and history are stored in your browser's local storage. They can be cleared if you: clear your browser data/cache, use a different browser or device, use private/incognito mode, or uninstall the mobile app. This is a known limitation — cross-device sync is planned for a future update.
